Live After Five
A mundane day at the office, stuck in a cubicle, drinking piss poor coffee and filing papers is as close to the middle class American nightmare as one can get. However, even amidst this uninspiring daily drudgery, people continue to dream both big and small.
With "Live After Five", Josh Burn's Unseen Hip Hop company explores what a day in the 9-5 machine would look like if everyone from the boss to the mail clerk was a dancer. Incorporating everything from contemporary choreography to popping and breakin', Unseen tells the story of an a-typical day at the office and the extraordinary things that can happen afterwards. The crew's invigorating style comes alive from the moment the morning alarm sounds, to the mid-afternoon coffee break, all the way to when dusk settles and it's time to hit the club.
Set to a soundtrack of hip hop, soul and contemporary dance pop, the show promises a score that will have you dancing in your seat. Guest performers include Soul Phase (breakin'), Moon Patrol (breakin'), and Poppin' Joon.
