Josh Burns began his dance career at 17 when he auditioned to be a member of the company "The Young Americans” a non-profit performing company based in southern California. YA’s goal is to enrich communities around the World through the art of music and dance.  As a member of the company, Josh lived in Southern California and trained in all styles of dance; jazz. tap, and lyrical initially before falling in love with hip hop and the dance community in Los Angeles.  Josh remained a member of the company training, teaching and performing or five years. Josh Burns is a talented and energetic performer, choreographer and instructor who has taught workshops to students ranging in size from 50 to over 1,000.  He has performed and taught in England and the United Kingdom, Germany, Holland, Japan, Poland and the Ukraine,  as well as 43 of our 50 states.   Josh is a true world traveler and also lived and taught on a 6 month contract with the Musikschule Bad Karlshafen as the head of the Dance Dept. at a Music School in Northwestern Germany.

Once he moved to Portland, Josh quickly built a name for himself by teaching numerous workshops, and master classes as well as choreographing for dance teams and companies throughout the Pacific Northwest. Josh is currently on staff as an instructor and choreographer for Northwest Dance Company (www.northwestdancecompany.com) in the summer and on staff at Dance Vision Studio, Cami Curtis Performing Arts Center and Vega Dance Lab during the school year.  In the fall of 2007 Josh decided to combine his experience in touring and performing with his passion for life and dance, to inspire a group of fellow dancer. He then founded .unseen. hip hop company.  He continues teaching and sharing his passion and love of the arts and dance, inspiring audiences and dancers throughout the country and around the world.
